Before becoming an entrepreneur, Barry was an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey and graduated with honors from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.  Barry has received many accolades including being named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Crain's, and being selected to Fortune's prestigious "40 Under 40" list. He has a longstanding passion for investing in great entrepreneurs with big ideas and has a knack for disruption himself.

At DCG, Meltem serves as the "connective tissue" between our subsidiaries, portfolio companies, investors, and corporate partners and is focused on creating new models for partnership and growth. A former management consultant and finance professional, Meltem has built several early stage companies and is an expert in crafting strategy, facilitating and building complex stakeholder groups, and developing new business models and sales strategies. Meltem has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.A. in Mathematical Economics at Rice University.

Travis joined DCG in 2015, and supports the firm’s investing efforts. His responsibilities include sourcing, analyzing, and executing venture investments, and helping DCG portfolio companies raise additional capital. Prior to joining DCG, Travis was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he worked on M&A and corporate finance transactions. He graduated with a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, and a B.B.A in Finance from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Barry Silbert is a serial financial technology entrepreneur, and is the founder and CEO of Digital Currency Group. Starting in 2012, Barry became one of the first and most active investors in the bitcoin space, providing seed funding for many of the companies who have gone on to define the industry. In addition to founding DCG, Barry is also the founder of Grayscale Investments, manager of the Bitcoin Investment Trust. Prior to DCG, Barry founded SecondMarket, which was acquired by Nasdaq in 2015, was an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey and graduated with honors from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.
